Western medicine is more about healing sick people, while Eastern medicine is more about keeping people healthy to begin with. Unfortunately we tend to stress the more tangible (and billable) Western way of doing things because we are more likely to see a cause and an effect. But new research may hold the key to why Eastern medicine works in the discovery of the interstitium.
