Mexico's oil export revenues fall 10.1 pct.

Mexico City, Jun 29 (EFE).- Exports of crude oil generated revenues of $16.25 billion in the first five months of this year, down 10.1 percent from the same period in 2013, Petroleos Mexicanos, or Pemex, said.Petroleum export revenues totaled $18.08 billion in the January-May 2013 period, Pemex said.Exports of crude oil totaled $3.35 billion in May, up 6.5 percent from the $3.14 billion in sales posted in the same month last year, Pemex said.Mexico exported an average of 1.14 million barrels per day (bpd) during the first five months of this year, down 3 percent compared to the 1.18 million bpd sold to foreign customers during the same period in 2013, Pemex said.Petroleum exports averaged 1.11 million bpd in May, up 8 percent from the 1.02 million bpd figure registered in May, the state-owned oil giant said.Oil production averaged 2.48 million bpd during the first five months of this year, off 1.6 percent from the same period in 2013, when output averaged 2.53 million bpd, Pemex said.Production averaged 2.49 million bpd in May, off 0.70 percent from the May 2013 level, when average output was 2.51 million bpd, Pemex said.Mexico posted a trade surplus in petroleum products, including crude, gasoline and petrochemicals, during the January-May period of $6.83 billion on exports of $18.84 billion and imports of $12 billion.
