Tuwairqi Steel Mills Ltd, Pakistan has set up a company called TSMLE-Solar with a strategic alliance with SolarWorld, Germany, one of the worlds leading names in solar energy.
According to details given to Engineering Review, TSMLE-Solars goal is to educate customers about benefits of solar energy and encourage them to contribute to cutting greenhouse gas emissions and help reverse global climate change.
TSMLE-Solar already has many firsts to its credit. It has installed 40.32 KW solar power system in Shadman Shopping Complex, Lahore. It has installed to date Pakistans largest 62.4 KW solar system in US Aid PIPS Building, Islamabad. A 10 KW solar system has been installed in Beacon Houase Schools. Several other projects too have been completed
These include a 32 KW system for flood affected villages in Punjab and Sindh and in 70 houses under Punjab Disaster Management Authority. Pakistans first Solar ATM for National Bank was designed and commissioned by TSMLE-Solar.
