Michigan Consumer Sentiment came in at a weak reading of 57.8 in September. Next week we get housing data including Housing Starts and Existing Home Sales and that two-day FOMC meeting. On Wednesday afternoon we learn whether or not the FOMC has any new easing tricks up their sleeves. The Dow Jones Industrial Average continued to rally for the fifth consecutive session trading above 11,500 to 11,532.47 on optimism that the European debt crisis may ease. The Dow dipped to 11,407.41 as Eurozone finance ministers balked at U.S. suggestions before rebounding back above 11,500 in the afternoon. The NASDAQ continued its rally staying above 2600 with a high at 2627.28.

Asian stocks rebounded again on Friday with the Nikkei 225 gaining 2.25% to 8,864 and the Hang Seng higher by 1.43% to 19,455. European stocks reversed gains as Eurozone finance ministers resisted pressures from the US for a solution to their sovereign debt crisis. Stocks ended mixed with the FTSE 100 up 0.58% to 5,368 with the DAX gaining 1.18% to 5,574, and the CAC 40 down 0.48% to 3031. The yield on the 10-Year US Treasury rose from 1.992 percent to 2.118 staying within Thursday’s trading range. Gold traded up from $1765.4 the Troy ounce to $1825.0, as traders continue to observe the potential double top on the daily chart. Crude oil traded down from $89.78 per barrel to $87.00 remaining below its 50- day simple moving average at $90.37. The euro versus the US dollar traded down from 1.3892 to 1.3757.

The increase is part of the company’s restructuring plan to avoid bankruptcy. Shares of Broadwind Energy (BWEN) are down about 18% on after the company announced that it has priced an underwritten public offering of 32.5M shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $0.40/share for gross proceeds of $13.0M.
