Starting the day trading at $51.51, Nucor Corporation reached an intraday high of $52.63 and hit intraday lows of $51.16. Shares gained $1.4 apiece by day’s end. Over the last 90 days, the stock’s average daily volume has been 2.26 million of its 303.16 million share total float. Today’s action puts the stock’s 50-day SMA at $52.26 and 200-day SMA at $55.18 with a 52-week range of $46.10 to $66.03.

The largest steelmaker in the United States by production volume, Nucor uses electric arc furnaces to produce a wide variety of steel products that service all major end markets. Nucor is involved in every phase of the steelmaking value chain, from collecting and processing scrap to manufacturing value-added fabricated steel products.
