Westamerica posts 1Q profit

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) _ Westamerica Bancorp (WABC) on Thursday reported first-quarter earnings of $15 million.

The bank, based in San Rafael, California, said it had earnings of 57 cents per share.

The holding company for Westamerica Bank posted revenue of $45 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $44.5 million.



Westamerica shares have dropped roughly 10 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 10 percent in the last 12 months.
