Being single in a big city can be quite daunting, particularly when you are not sure where to go or what to do. With thousands of people running around and bars on every corner, it can be hard to find the right crowd and people to socialize with. For those who are a little more established financially and ready to settle down into a these cities are the prime spot to meet that significant other. 

5. Port Washington, New York

This more upscale city is located in Nassau County of New York, on the north shore of Long Island.  They have a population of around 16,019 where approximately 33.1 percent of the residents are single and ready to mingle. With 3 of the most popular bars being Finn Mac Cool’s, Aiko Sushi & Bar and The Black Sheep Ale House there are many unique and places and opportunities to meet people. Particularly with the male-female ratio being 1 to 1 making a very even playing field for those who are eager to jump into the dating game. With the average household income for the area is around $157,889 annually its an ideal city to find that significant other and potentially settle down.

4. Manhattan Beach, California 

With its beautiful atmosphere and proximity to the beach it’s no wonder that 35,490 Americans have chosen to flock to the sunshine and relaxed lifestyle. The average annual income of Manhattan Beach residents is around $173,405, making it a great place for the more established. With a male to female ratio of 1 to 1 and 33 percent of the population being single going out and enjoying the local bars such as Simmzy’s, Grunions and BrewCo are good spots to start. If the athletic lifestyle and sunshine don’t lure you the nightlife and dating scene sure will. 

3. Concord, Massachusetts

Around 18,008 people live in Concord, Massachusetts most commonly known as the historical spot where the colonists one their first victory in the war on independence. Between the rich history and beautiful architecture it’s been rated the third best city for wealthier individuals to meet. Not only is the average annual income is around $176,986, but around 30.5 percent of the population is currently single. 2. Garden City, New York

Less than an hour from the city on Long Island in Hempstead, this city has a population of around 22,590. With some of the top bars being Shakers, Cornerstone Pup & Restaurant and Murphy’s bar, there are plenty of chances for the 30.7 percent of single Americans to go out for a meet and greet. The average annual income for residence of Garden City is approximately $186,956 making this place better then most to meet new people. 

1. University Park, Texas

With its southern draw and nice neighborhoods, it comes as no surprise that the 23,653 people who live in University Park love all the city has to offer. The city itself is within the Dallas city limits and located around Southern Methodist University. The current average annual income is around $190,323 and 32.5 percent of the population identified themselves as single on the 2010 census. With bars like Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Inwood Tavern and Victor Tangos it’s a great atmosphere for people ready to go out and meet that special person.
