Starting at an opening price of $7.19 a share, the stock traded between $6.23 and $7.19 over the course of the trading day. Stillwater Mining Co develops, extracts, processes, refines and markets palladium, platinum and associated metals from a geological formation in south-central Montana known as the J-M Reef and from the recycling of spent catalytic converters.
