Sotheby's (BID) was among the biggest gainers on the Russell 2000 for Tuesday February 16 as the stock popped 8.74% to $22.03, representing a gain of $1.77 per share. Some 1.26 million shares traded hands on 8,163 trades, compared with an average daily volume of 1.32 million shares out of a total float of 66.83 million. The stock opened at $20.70 and traded with an intraday range of $22.04 to $20.62.

After today's gains, Sotheby's reached a market cap of $1.47 billion. Sotheby's has had a trading range between $47.28 and $18.86 over the last year, and it had a 50-day SMA of $24.50 and a 200-day SMA of $34.86.
