Resolute Forest Products (RFP) was one of the Russell 2000's biggest losers for Tuesday January 12 as the stock slid 6.49% to $6.77, a loss of $-0.47 per share. Starting at an opening price of $7.29 a share, the stock traded between $6.74 and $7.34 over the course of the trading day. Volume was 207,894 shares over 1,480 trades, against an average daily volume of 423,388 shares and a total float of 89.59 million.

The losses send Resolute Forest Products down to a market cap of $606.55 million. In the last year, Resolute Forest Products has traded between $19.26 and $6.65, and its 50-day SMA is currently $7.60 and 200-day SMA is $10.57.

Resolute Forest Products Inc owns and operates pulp and paper mills and wood products facilities in the United States, Canada and South Korea, and power generation assets in Canada.

Resolute Forest Products is based out of Montreal, QC and has some 7,700 employees. Its CEO is Richard Garneau.
