AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Pain Therapeutics (PTIE) on Friday reported a loss of $2.5 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Austin, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 6 cents.



The company's shares closed at 59 cents. A year ago, they were trading at $1.80.
