North American Energy Partners posts 4Q profit

ACHESON, Alberta (AP) _ North American Energy Partners Inc. (NOA) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $1.9 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Acheson, Alberta-based company said it had profit of 7 cents per share.

The heavy construction and mining services company posted revenue of $64.6 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported net income of $4.1 million, or 14 cents per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $225.6 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $4.55. A year ago, they were trading at $5.55.
