National Research posts 4Q profit

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ National Research Corp. (NRCIA) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $6.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Lincoln, Nebraska-based company said it had net income of 15 cents. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were 10 cents per share.

The advisor to healthcare providers posted revenue of $29.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $22.9 million, or 54 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $117.6 million.

National Research shares have declined slightly more than 5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $35.30, an increase of 92 percent in the last 12 months.
