With over $22 million in trading, Fannie Mae (FNMA) led the way in activity in the OTC market on Friday on positive news. Shares of Fannie Mae also moved higher by 4 percent in the session and will likely see follow through on the volume.

Unsurprisingly, AMR Corp. (AAMRQ) was another major mover in the microcap space, trading $20 million. Shares popped for an impressive 16 percent gain because of reports that stated the airline is close to closing an $11 billion merger as early as this week.

Swingplane Ventures (SWVI) traded into the $0.50 region in the middle of the week on volume, and closed the week at 0.43 cents on $8.5 million traded. The President of Swingplane came out Friday to give an update on one of the stocks properties. Swingplane Ventures has been steadily rising over the last few weeks with constantly rising volume.

Echo Automotive (ECAU) seemed to fall in volume going into the end of the week; however the stock has been a solid performer for a number of trading sessions now. Echo Automotive traded over $3 million and pulled back by 8% to end the week’s trading.
