Press Releases  |

English has become the language of business. Being bilingual is a highly attractive skill to employers, particularly in the healthcare and law enforcement sectors. To remain competitive in this job market and be able to command a higher salary, over two-billion people are working to learn English. Lingo Media Corp (LM:CA) , a developer and marketer of English language learning products, aims to provide this opportunity to an organization that helps millions of people prepare to enter the working world.

Lingo Media has announced that the Columbian online education services distribution company eDistribution S.A.S has selected its subsidiary, ELL Technologies Ltd, to provide a full digital education resources suite for Colombia's National Learning Service (SENA) through a multimillion dollar software development contract. SENA, the largest vocational organization in Latin America, aims to improve the foreign language levels of Columbia’s workforce.

“Multilingualism has become a real necessity in our interconnected and globalized world,” says Laura Victoria Zabala J., CEO of eDistribution. “Through this partnership, eDistribution and ELL Technologies will provide the most technologically advanced and expansive digital content library of all the eLearning programs to be used in Colombia, and will be an example for educators and governments throughout Latin America to establish new educational standards.”

This major news follows the recent release of ELL Technologies’ inaugural cross-platform kids program,Winnie’s World. With audio assistance in their native language, preschoolers without prior knowledge of the English language will utilize the Winnie’s World program to learn over 500 English vocabulary words, and cover lessons that cover numbers, colors, clothing, family, food and feelings.

Lingo Media strives to change the way the world learns English. This monumental deal between ELL Technologies, eDistribution and SENA will not only teach Columbia a second language; it will empower the next generation of working professional to thrive in their chosen field.
