Krewson taps city lawyer for development post

St. Louis Post-Dispatch |

--ST. LOUIS -- Matt Moak, an attorney in the city counselor's office since 2002, was appointed Monday as executive director of the city Community Development Administration.

Mayor Lyda Krewson, who made the appointment, said Moak had done a terrific job leading the city's problem properties unit which deals with building code violations.

"His experience makes him a great fit to lead CDA," the mayor said.

Moak also has been general counsel to the city's building division and lead counsel on federal and state litigation matters. He succeeds Bill Rataj, who had been interim executive director at CDA since Alana Green resigned in November.
