Over the last year, Glenn Lurie has been the new CEO of Synchronoss Technologies SNCR. He brings to the table exactly what the company needs. He was CEO of AT&T Mobility, has loads of the right kind of business experience and executive talent. One more thing. Lurie has connections. He seems to know everyone, and everyone knows him. That’s a huge plus.

I met Lurie decades ago at AT&T and have grown to respect him as a leader. I have begun to follow Synchronoss and am impressed. So, let’s take a closer look at what they do and why they are important to their client companies going forward into the digital future.

They already work with leading competitors like AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless and Sprint, helping them continue to change, expand and lead in the wireless industry. I expect these relationships to continue to grow.

Synchronoss Clients Are Telecommunications, Media and Technology Companies

Synchronoss says their business is all about platforms, products and solutions to help companies increase their digital footprint. In English, what that means is they help companies transform to be successful in the new digital era we are all now living and working in.

They focus on cloud, digital, messaging and IoT. This is exactly where every competitor needs to focus on and improve. However, this is also where nearly every competitor has no clue how to do so. They need help. That’s where Synchronoss steps in.

They transform and digitize telecommunications, media and technology companies for the next level of growth which has already begun. They have been working in this space for quite a while and their platforms, people and partners help these companies shift their digital business into high gear.

They focus on helping companies create digital customer journeys that reduce cost, improve customer satisfaction and create new revenue. They step in to help companies grow in new ways. They help in ways where these carriers can’t do it alone.

Digital Experience Is Reinventing the Way Companies Interact with Customers

The Synchronoss Personal Cloud helps carriers like Verizon transform their cost centers into profit centers.

They help companies enable digital self-service with their AI technology. Think of the new world of apps where customers can take care of their own issues with a few clicks. This improves customer satisfaction with lower cost and less resources.

Their Digital Experience Platform reinvents the way companies interact with their customers and workers. They use technology to create new and advanced digital customer experiences. Their Advanced Messaging Platform takes SMS text messaging to new levels creating new revenue streams for their client companies.

Synchronoss streamlines digital operations helping companies create new, profitable digital experiences without overhauling their existing systems. They say their activation platform drives up to 90 percent automation of provisioning devices and services.

They help companies use digital applications to win new customers and market share. This is what every company wants.

Omni-Channel Experiences Are Key to Company Growth Going Forward

They create digital omni-channel experiences to help their client companies grow. Omni-channel is an important step into tomorrow that every companies needs to get right. The digital experience isn’t enough on its own. Done right, these can not only improve profitability, but also improve customer satisfaction.

With all that said, the playing field is changing. Companies need to make changes and do certain things in the way they interact with their customers and workers in order to be successful going forward.

The problem is, most companies don’t have any idea how to do this. This is where Synchronoss Technologies steps in.

So, it will be interesting to watch this company going forward under the new leadership of Glenn Lurie. They offer the services carriers need and Lurie will help put them on the map. With his knowledge, experience and industry connections, I expect we will be hearing quite a bit more about this company going forward.

With pandemic-induced supply chain bottlenecks receding, semiconductor stocks have been riding a bullish trend, making higher lows and higher highs.
To say the current situation isn’t pretty now seems an understatement, and it’s likely to remain chaotic for a while. Which is why it’s so important for leaders of all kinds not to fall prey to the very human tendency to go negative.
Bargain-hunting friends of mine have been asking: “Should I buy First Republic?” After all, First Republic is prestigious. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg got a mortgage there. Dozens of customer surveys rate its satisfaction scores higher than super-brands like Apple and Ritz-Carlton.
Many of us economy-watchers have been expecting recession, though with significant differences on odds and timing. Regardless, recent banking developments just made recession more likely and may have accelerated its onset.
