Hingham Savings posts 3Q profit

HINGHAM, Mass. (AP) _ Hingham Institution for Savings (HIFS) on Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $6.5 million.

The Hingham, Massachusetts-based bank said it had earnings of $2.97 per share.



The community bank posted revenue of $21 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $16.4 million.

Hingham Savings shares have fallen nearly 1 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $194.99, a rise of 41 percent in the last 12 months.
