Hallador Energy posts 4Q profit

DENVER (AP) _ Hallador Energy Co. (HNRG) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $21.4 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Denver-based company said it had profit of 69 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were 7 cents per share.

The coal, oil and gas producer posted revenue of $69.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $33.1 million, or $1.08 per share. Revenue was reported as $271.6 million.

Hallador Energy shares have increased 10 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 19 percent in the last 12 months.
