Groundhog Day Investment Forecast: Sun or Clouds for Stocks?

While the world’s attention turns to Pennsylvania on February 2nd for Groundhog Day prognostications about winter weather, investment professionals will gather in Philadelphia for the 2017 Emerald Asset Management Groundhog Day Investment Forum. The Forum is the unofficial kick-off to the year ahead as Emerald’s team of analysts and portfolio managers present their strategic investment themes and trends for 2017, focusing on key sectors such as Banking & Finance, Consumer, Energy, Industrials, Life Sciences and Technology.

Emerald’s team will be joined by noted economist Joel Naroff and senior executives from companies that exemplify the trends identified by Emerald and who will provide insights on the state of their industries and sectors. The presenting companies confirmed to date include: Customers Bancorp (CUBI), Enviva Partners (EVA), GSV Capital Corp. (GSVC), LendingTree (TREE), Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Holdings (OLLI), Tabula Rasa Healthcare (TRHC), Trex Company (TREX), and Vonage Holdings (VG). In addition, Doug Lebda, Founder and CEO of LendingTree, will provide the opening keynote address and GSV Capital Chairman and CEO Michael Moe will wrap-up the event with the evening address.
