General Cannabis Reports Record Revenue and Tech Developments at WeedMaps Media

Major milestones are being reached within the emerging industry of medicinal cannabis. More and more states are considering bills to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes and the idea has even been addressed with the federal government.  General Cannabis (CANA), a technology-based Internet marketing services company, is benefitting directly from the intense and growing interest in the industry.  General Cannabis, Inc. today announced record monthly revenue for WeedMaps Media, which runs the popular doctor and dispensary finder site

The company has seen awareness of WeedMaps reach new heights, with the site drawing in 8.5 million page views last month, up from 6.2 million page views in July 2011. General Cannabis has been helping to promote viewership and amplify accessibility through mobile access. General Cannabis attributes the improvements to a 27 percent increase in Android visitor traffic since the month prior.

The growth is being associated with both their innovative  approach to medicinal cannabis and their cutting-edge use of technology to simplify the process of procuring it. In the past several months, General Cannabis has stayed on top of the emerging technology and made major updates to both the Android and iPhone WeedMaps' mobile applications. The result has been increased user engagement and more page views.

General Cannabis is not prepared to stop their development there; however, the company also appointed Jerry Lotter as Director of Operations. Mr. Lotter’s over two decade career has  seen him operate as a business founder, owner and consultant to a variety of industries, focused on sales, marketing, finance, lead generation, call center and data management. He has a record of success in these areas which General Cannabis anticipates he will bring to their operation in order to help it continue to thrive.
