The Quebec-based Richmont Mines Inc. (RIC) (RIC:CA) is an established gold mining company with over two decades of experience in mine development, exploration and production. Richmont has 14 sites in Quebec and Ontario, and is currently exploring an expansion of resources below its Gold Island Mine. With the company’s recent addition to the S&P/TSX Small Cap Index and an updated drilling program for its Island property, Richmont continues to illustrate promising growth aspects. This progress can be credited to their mining leadership dream team, along with the direction and vision of Renaud Adams, President and CEO of Richmont Mines.
Adams has been part of the company’s leadership team since late 2014. Prior to his tenure at Richmont Mines, Adams held leadership positions at Americas Operations, at IAMGOLD Corporation, along with senior positions at Cambior Inc. and Breakwater Resources Ltd. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mining and Mineral Processing from Laval University.
Recently, Equities.com had the opportunity to sit down with Adams. This feature highlights Richmont’s keys to success, their accelerated plans for 2015, and their next crucial moves in the competitive mining space.
