VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Emergent Capital Inc. (EMGC) on Tuesday reported a loss of $2.9 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $3.5 million, or 4 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $51.9 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit 39 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 32 cents.
