BRIEF: Life'sWork names new top executive

--Timothy Parks has been named president and chief executive officer of the Uptown nonprofit Life'sWork of Western Pennsylvania.

He started the new job .

Mr. Parks is a former chief executive of the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Pittsburgh Regional Alliance and was most recently senior director, business development at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

He was a member of the board at Life'sWork and served as its chairman in the 1990s.



He succeeds Geoffrey Stillson who served as interim chief executive during a search process.

The agency provides job training and counseling for people with disabilities. It operates the Ben & Jerry's PartnerShop on Penn Avenue, Downtown, which employs at-risk youth and young people with disabilities.
