Wales unchanged for 3rd test vs. Australia

The Associated Press

SYDNEY -- Wales coach Rob Howley has stuck with an unchanged starting XV for the third test against Australia on Saturday, hoping to improve on two close recent losses for the Six Nations champions.

The only change to the Wales squad announced Thursday was on the replacements bench, where hooker Ken Owens was picked ahead of Richard Hibbard.

Australia clinched the three-test series with an after-the-siren penalty goal to win last week's second test 25-23 in Melbourne. It was Australia's sixth consecutive win over Wales.

The Welsh still have something at stake in the Sydney test, where they're aiming to beat the Wallabies on Australian soil for the first time since 1969.
