Author Presents New Theory of Faith Independent of Religion
PR WebLahore, Pakistan (PRWEB) September 20, 2012
Dissatisfied with conventional and traditional beliefs, author Ghulam Chatha penned his nonfiction book Faith not Religions (published by iUniverse).
Faith not Religions provides a vision for a non-religious belief which can be anyone's, anywhere in God's universe. It illustrates a faith, Chatha believes, which can be achieved by an individual without any essential help from any book or other person.
An excerpt from Faith not Religions:
I believe that there are good humans all over the world who practice different religions. A meeting may be called to name their religion, but religions have already bitterly divided humanity so their religion should not be named.
Chathas system of belief is built around the idea that there are no conditions for true faith. He also believes that some form of faith is necessary, saying Modern societies are departing from their respective traditional beliefs and are also discarding essential human morals which faith provides. A sustainable faith which provides contentment, hope and satisfaction for the human soul is very necessary.
About the Author Ghulam Chatha was born in 1954 in Punjab, Pakistan. He is a farmer by profession and a Muslim by birth. He is not a scholar or philosopher. As a youth, Chatha shared all the beliefs of his society, but as he grew older, things began to change. He began to discard traditional teachings and hereditary customs.
Chatha does not believe in a religious God, nor claim any special attachments with the God which other humans might have. He has a strong non-religious faith and a message of love for all humans irrespective of race, religion, region, language and all such divisions of humanity.
