Plumbworld Appoint New Deputy Managing DirectorPR Web
Evesham, Worcestershire (PRWEB UK) 13 August 2012
Plumbworld has been prone to success ever since it was started back in the 90s. Since then, the business has continued to expand and break into various online markets including plumbing, bathrooms and other sectors. This has all happened whilst under the supervision of current CEO, James Hickman.
Over the last month or two, James has slowly started to become more involved in the e-commerce marketing activities within the Grafton Group (who own Plumbworld); it has made room for someone to oversee the processes and general running of the business. As the position entails such a good understanding of the business and the departments within, it made perfect sense for Operations Manager, John Maisey, to step into this demanding role.
John joined the Plumbworld team back in November of 2011, when the business was in need of an operations manager to streamline and optimise the business processes. Whether it was the simple ordering of a pair of bathroom tap mixers or processing the return of an entire bathroom suite, John was extremely efficient in the way he went about optimising the procedures.
In addition to Maiseys current operational responsibilities he will also take over the day-to-day running and leadership for the Commercial, Financial, IT and Customer Services departments. This will not be an easy task by any means, but considering John was a board member for the 250 million pound company, Otis; he is more than capable for the role.
James Hickman stated in an email: John brings with him a wealth of management experience having successfully led many large organisations in his career to date and has all the skills necessary to work with me in driving business growth and improving our performance over the coming years.

The Plumbworld website is hosted on the large Online Home Retail network at present. The network already hosts close to 50 niche-specific websites which sell a whole range of products, varying from car diagnostic equipment all the way to gardening equipment and tools. Online Home Retail Limited was originally Plumbworld Ltd back in 1999 and since then it has been bought by the Grafton Group PLC in 2006 and received a brand overhaul in June 2012. The business now employs close to 60 people in its purpose built warehouse and offices whilst turning over in excess of 20 million per year.
