Criticism of Gabby's Hair Shows How Much We Hate Ourselves

WASHINGTON, Aug. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Black America has deep-set issues of self-worth that stems all the way from the days of slavery. In fact, those issues are so deeply rooted in our community today that it manifested itself in the wake of Gabby Douglas winning the all-around gymnastics competition in the London Olympics.

Despite being the first Black American female to win gold in the prestigious Olympic event, black folks took to Twitter and Facebook to crack on the young sister's hair. It is so sad and is an unfortunate commentary of Black America as we know it.
