Quickly Silence Unwanted iPhone Alerts With COOKOO Watch And SleepDropsPR Web
Kirkland, WASH (PRWEB) June 28, 2012
COOKOO watch and SleepDrops have teamed up to eliminate the annoyances of unwanted mobile alerts for users who want control over when they want to be notified by their iPhone.
There is now an app for that, along with a smart watch to make it easy to quickly silence any or all smartphone notifications at the touch of a button.
No More Unwanted Smartphone Alerts
The new COOKOO (TM) Watch, currently in development, today announced it has partnered with SleepDrops (TM) to make it easier than ever to push a button and instantly silence your phone alerts, and instead send them silently to your watch.
By combining the COOKOO watch and SleepDrops app, we are giving people a fast way to discretely send notifications to your wrist, versus having to constantly pull your phone out of your pocket or purse, said Peter Hauser, creator of the COOKOO watch.
The COOKOO watch uses Bluetooth 4.0 technology to allow the wearer to send smart alerts from their phone to the watch. Icons on the watch light up to indicate whether a received tweet, email message, Facebook chat request or text message, for example.
Currently raising seed money on the popular crowdfunding site Kickstarter, the COOKOO watch is available now for pre-orders. The watch will be available online and in retail stores in Fall 2012.
The SleepDrops app will allow users to suppress notifications on their iPhone whenever they need to and to send an Im busy or In a meeting response at the touch of a button.
With Sleepdrops, you get full control over your notificationsunlike with the Do Not Disturb function in iOS 6, which suppresses all of them, said SleepDrops creator Aydin Kintziger. So for example, if you do not want to receive those work emails that wake you up at 4:00 A.M, but you would still like to receive the text message from your friend saying she got home OK, simply suppress your email notifications.
SleepDrops is also in crowdfunding mode on the site Indiegogo. The app will begin production, if the funding is successful, in early August.
Using COOKOO Watch and SleepDrops Together
After installing and pairing the SleepDrops app with the COOKOO watch, users can efficiently manage all their notifications at a press of a button on the watch.
By simply pressing the COOKOO command button you will be able to turn Sleepdrops on and off or text a caller to say that youre in a meeting and will call them right back, Hauser said. Its the best of all possible worlds, giving you the chance to easily silence and automatically respond to iPhone alerts when you don't want to be disturbed.
