Kevin Harless Named President of U-Haul Company of Central TexasPR Newswire
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive Vice President (EVP) Ron Frank and District 5 Area District Vice President (ADVP) Garner Carey recently announced that Kevin Harless has been promoted to marketing company president (MCP) of UHC of Central Texas.
Harless began his U-Haul career in March 2011 as a field relief manager (FRM) for U-Haul Company of Fort Worth. Less than a month later, Harless transferred to become an area field manager (AFM) for U-Haul Company of Central Texas, the position he held until his recent promotion. Prior to U-Haul, Harless was in the cell phone business for seven years and owned and operated a successful cell phone franchise for nearly five of those years. Before that, he was with Circuit City for four years, primarily as a store director. As president, Harless will oversee all operations of the U-Haul Company of Central Texas, including truck, trailer and storage rentals. Harless's determination and outstanding customer service certainly will drive his team to new levels of achievement.

While constantly striving to be moving experts, Harless says his teammates also must remember to listen, hear and act on what the U-Haul customer is saying. He plans on always giving the customer a great experience, and says that he cannot do this without the right people at the right place at the right time, allowing U-Haul Company of Central Texas to serve customers with maximum efficiency and maximum knowledge.
Harless notes that as president another important goal is to provide a better and better product and service to more and more people at a lower and lower cost. He plans on making a commitment to his management team, as well as himself, to lead by example and make exhaustive efforts to ensure that U-Haul Company of Central Texas has trained the finest staff in the U-Haul System. He plans on achieving his many goals through training, hard work and more training, and says that it's all too easy to bark an order at a team member, but it is truly difficult to get in and get your hands dirty and do the work together that is required to help people succeed. Harless thinks that if he can help his team to see obstacles as challenges rather than unmovable barriers, then together they will achieve any goals they aim for.
