Ericsson nears top spot for OSS, BSS and Service Delivery Platform

As a result of a strengthened focus on OSS and BSS and the recentacquisitionUS-based Telcordia, Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) ranked second in Operation andBusiness Support Systems (OSS/BSS) and next generation Service DeliveryPlatforms.
A new report by analysis house Gartner ranks Ericsson #2 in this growingmarketand states that had Ericsson's numbers included the performance of recentlyacquired Telcordia's solutions and services - the company would have toppedtheworldwide chart in 2011.

Through the acquisition of Telcordia, completed on January 12, Ericsson hasalsostrengthened its position in service fulfillment, assurance and networkoptimization, as well as significant capabilities to support operatorsend-to-end.
Through Ericsson's global consulting and systems integration engagements,Ericsson offers end-to-end solutions to service providers that coverbusinessprocesses, competences and technologies in OSS, BSS, and next-generationServiceDelivery Platforms. In total in 2011, Ericsson signed33 newsignificant contracts for OSS, BSS, SDP and Data Center build, out of which26were for OSS and BSS.
