Al Bawaba Ltd.At Gunfleet Sands III, using A2Sea's Sea Installer, Siemens has set up two 6-megawatt wind turbines and the wind plant is situated off the shore of Great Britain in the Northern Thames Estuary.
The installation was the first for the Sea Installer, that equipped with a Siemens propulsion system.
Dong Energy owns 173-megawatt Gunfleet Sands III and in 2010 it was commissioned, including 48 Siemens turbines.
Dong Energy also contrives to commence building on its 389-megawatt West of Duddon Sands project in the Irish Sea, which will also use Siemens offshore wind turbines.
