Australia : ASX Ltd expands its board with Ken Henry appointment [TendersInfo (India)]
Al Bawaba Ltd.ASX Ltd announced the appointment of former Treasury boss Ken Henry to its board, effective from next month.
Dr Henry will stand for election as a director at ASX s 2013 annual meeting which will be held in late 2013.
ASX chairman Rick Holliday-Smith said, Ken s reputation and experience as an economist in Australia and overseas, and as a senior bureaucrat who has worked with successive Australian governments, will bring fresh perspective and strengthen the expertise of the ASX Board.
The appointment further broadens Dr Henry s push into corporate life following a career in the public service.
It is informed that Dr Henry served as Treasury secretary for a decade until 2011. He is also a director of National Australia Bank and chairman of the Institute of Public Policy at the Australian National University. He is also a Governor of the Committee for the Economic Development of Australia.
