General Mills to release new products in 2013Comtex News Network
Dec 31, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --General Mills, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of consumer foods sold through retail stores, has announced the release of new products for the second half of fiscal 2013.
Beginning in January 2013, the company will launch dozens of new products across its portfolio to meet consumer needs and drive growth for the company.
General Mills will leverage 'on trend flavours', and increasing demand in the 'better-for-you' snacking category, as customers seek out particular ingredients and to 'regulate energy levels'.
More specifically, the company will push existing ranges into untapped categories, such as with the launch of Green Giant Veggie Chips, moving this line outside the vegetable segment.
Various brand extensions will also be launched, from Totino's Pizzeria Rolls to GoGurt Twisted yoghurt. New cereal flavours, such as Honey Nut Cheerios Medley and Peanut Butter Toast Crunch, will supplement this activity.
General Mills products launching in its US Retail in January through May of 2013 include: Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch; Fiber One 80 Calories Chocolate; Peanut Butter Toast Crunch; Fiber One Protein bars in Caramel Nut and Coconut Almond flavors; Green Giant Veggie Chips; Totino's Pizzeria Rolls in Cheesy Garlic, Chicken Parmesan and Meatball Marinara flavors; and Yoplait Greek 100 in Tropical Fruit and Lemon flavors.
The company's US Retail further include: GoGurt Twisted in Strawberry Mango and Screamin' Green Apple flavors; Yoplait Pro-Force Greek yogurt; Nature Valley Protein in Salted Caramel Nut; Cascadian Farm Crunchy Granola bars in Oats & Honey, Peanut Butter, and Oats & Cocoa flavors; LARABAR Cappuccino bars; Cascadian Farm Berry Cobbler Granola; Chicken Helper Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Sweet & Sour Chicken; and Betty Crocker Mac and Cheese.
