Calysta Energy names senior vice president of business development

Nov 27, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --Calysta Energy, LLC. has named William Rothwell to the new position of senior vice president of business development.

Bill's three decades of petro and biobased chemicals experience will be a strategic advantage for Calysta as we focus on new high value transportation fuels and chemicals to meet this market need."

Dr Rothwell will report to Alan Shaw, Ph.D., Chairman, President and CEO. He joins Calysta from Codexis, where he was vice president and General Manager, Biobased Chemicals, with responsibility for leveraging the Codexis' directed evolution platform in the field of renewable biobased chemicals.

Dr Rothwell joined Codexis in 2010 after 29 years at Royal Dutch Shell plc, focusing on leadership and strategic development of Shell's global chemical business. He represented Shell as a member of the Codexis Board of Directors from 2007-09. He retired from Shell in 2009.
