Recall of spray sun care products expandedUnited Press International
Energizer Personal Care expanded its recall of continuous spray sun care products in Canada due to the possibility they could ignite on the skin, officials say.
Officials at Health Canada said if a consumer comes in contact with an open flame or spark before the spray has completely dried it could ignite on the skin. One such case has been reported in Canada and four in the United States.
"Consumers should also be aware that other spray sun care products may pose similar risks and as such, they should not use any continuous spray sun care products in the presence of a flame or spark, or, while smoking," Health Canada said in a statement.
