Keyera appoints new chairman

Nov 26, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --Keyera Corp., a natural gas midstream company, has appointed Robert Catell as chairman of the company's board of directors.

Mr Catell is currently chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center of Stony Brook University. He has a long history in the energy sector and with Keyera. As Chairman and CEO of KeySpan Corporation, Mr Catell was instrumental in the creation of Keyera in 1998, and has served as a member of Keyera's Board since it went public in 2003, the company said.

Mr Catell is past Chairman of the American Gas Association and is a Vice-Chairman of the National Petroleum Council's Natural Gas Committee. He also served as Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of National Grid plc from 2007 through 2009.
