Sen. Menendez Introduces Bill to Provide for Affordable Refinancing Expansion of Mortgages Held by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae

WASHINGTON, Sept. 11 -- Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., has introduced legislation (S. 3522) to "provide for the expansion of affordable refinancing of mortgages held by the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 10 and has 12 co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Barbara A. Boxer, D-Calif., Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Ron Wyden, D-Ore., Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., Kirsten E. Gillibrand, D-N.Y., Debbie A. Stabenow, D-Mich., Jack Reed, D-R.I., Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., Al Franken, D-Minn., Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., and Bernard Sanders, I-Vt.
