Trying to Find Green Businesses in Your Area? Greenopia Re-releases Popular Local Green Business Directory E-Books for Kindle, Nook, and iPad.PR Web
Santa Barbara, CA (PRWEB) August 21, 2012
Today Greenopia announced the return of its popular published local green business directories as e-books available on the Kindle, Nook, and iPad platforms. Presently, e-books are available for the cities of Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. An e-book for San Francisco will be launched by the end of the year.
The Greenopia Guide to Green Living in Los Angeles can be purchased via Amazon, iBooks Store, and barnesandnoble.com.
Greenopia has carefully updated the business listings in these new guides to ensure that all information is up to date and accurate. The cost of the e-books varies from $2.99 to $9.99, depending on the city.
We are very excited to re-release our local green guides, said Heather Mathews, Chief Financial Officer of Greenopia. Our printed directories were very well-received and allowed us to get information about green living into conscientious consumers hands, but their environmental impact coupled with the long print time made them difficult to maintain. Utilizing e-books as a new medium addresses these issues and allows us to provide this extremely popular product at a much lower price point than the printed version, which we hope will make it accessible to a wider audience.
Greenopia never accepts payment from any of the businesses in the guide in order to be listed. But, each business must meet a unique set of environmental criteria based on its respective category in order to qualify to be included. This methodology ensures that Greenopias directories are as comprehensive as possible and that no business is excluded simply because they do not wish to pay for the service. The purpose of these guides is to provide consumers the single most comprehensive resource for where they can eat, shop, and live green in their local area.
Since our first local green guide was published over 6 years ago, we have gotten a tremendous amount of positive feedback from consumers, businesses, corporations, and even major universities, said Doug Mazeffa, Greenopias Research Director. We believe that our research model is the only way to ensure all green businesses get the visibility they deserve and can readily connect with green consumers across the world.
