United States : FAIR ISAAC CORP to acquire software firm for $115M [TendersInfo (India)]

Fair Isaac Corp. is purchasing Adeptra Ltd., for $115 million, which is a London-based contributor of a multi-communication-channel software service. Announced on Thursday, the cash acquisition is expected to conclude in September.

Minneapolis-based Fair Isaac, an analytics firm which is well- known for its FICO credit score, has worked with Adeptra since 2002 as well as incorporated Adeptra technology into its Falcon Fraud Manager, a payment card deceit revealing product.

Adeptra was established in London with U.S. headquarters in Norwalk, Conn., and employs over 150 people. This firm s two way communications platform grants financial companies and their consumers to communicate through voice, text, e-mail and direct mobile.

Stuart Wells, Fair Isaac's chief technology officer, told the acquisition provides Fair Isaac's bank customers "with a closed-loop system where we have the application and communication infrastructure to close any fraudulent activities."

Fair Isaac mostly works with fiscal services corporations, as well as also works with retail and pharmaceutical firms.

Within recent months Adeptra is Fair Isaac's second acquirement. In May it declared the purchase of a small company named Entiera Inc., in Denver that makes a consumer dialogue organization tool.

Fair Isaac is planning to move its corporate headquarters from downtown Minneapolis to Roseville, but thought that it hasn't yet set a time period in motion.
