BRIEF: State network offers service for sharing medical information [The Wisconsin State Journal]
By David Wahlberg, The Wisconsin State JournalMcClatchy-Tribune Information ServicesJuly 06--Health systems in Wisconsin will be able to share electronic medical record information securely through a new service announced Friday by the Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network.
The service, called WISHIN Pulse, will be available to providers under a contract between WISHIN and Medicity, a leading provider of health information exchange technology.
The sharing of information about allergies, test results and other clinical details will help avoid duplicative and unnecessary care, said Joe Kachelski, WISHIN's CEO.
