Rolls-Royce wins $136m Dolphin pipeline contract [TendersInfo (India)]

Dolphin Energy has selected Rolls-Royce for a $136m contract to provide turbine technology and long-term services to support its Dolphin Gas Project to transport natural gas from Qatar to the UAE. Under the terms of the contract, Rolls-Royce will provide three 52MW-capacity Trent gas turbines for installation at to Dolphin Energy%s Processing Plant in Ras Laffan, Qatar, which will then power compression trains at the plant in preparation for dispatch along the 364km subsea pipeline. The supply of three new Rolls-Royce Trent gas turbines to Dolphin Energy is testimony to the six units already installed on the project," said Andrew Heath president of Rolls-Royce Energy.
