Glen Moreno was appointed chairman of Pearson on October 1, 2005 and is chairman of the nomination committee. He is a director of Fidelity International Limited and was previously senior independent director of Man Group plc. From January 2009 to August 2009, he was also acting chairman of UK Financial Investments Limited, the company set up by HM Treasury to manage the governments shareholdings in UK banks. Effective March 1, 2010, he was appointed non-executive director of Lloyds Banking Group plc and became their senior independent director.
